EMURGO Ignitive Labs, the marquis of Blockchain education aims at training an entirely new generation of cohorts to the possibilities of Blockchain applications and opportunities through an incubator program within the campus and thus spearhead the Blockchain Ecosystem and impact necessary Blockchain skills from Introduction to Research.

The focus of the course is to create a talent pool adept at blockchain technology to bridge the gap in demand for quality blockchain developers.  It is extremely important and advantageous to embark the Blockchain ecosystem within the premises of Institutions/Universities and thus get the best talent to the Industry or create Entrepreneurs.

Objectives

  • Setting up an Incubation Centre within the Campus and impact necessary Blockchain skills at various levels from Introduction to Research
  • Creating a complete Eco-System for blockchain inside the Campus by Harnessing, Nurturing, Grooming and Incubating Blockchain talent with our unique Synchronized Learning Platform
  • Providing Access to Global Faculty/ R&D Projects/Exposure to Global Forums
  • Providing Internship/Project/Industry Collaboration leads to Career in Blockchain

Entry Criteria

All departments and all semester students are eligible. However- content, delivery outcome and duration will vary depending on the academic cycle of the Institution, since EMURGO Ignitive Labs operates inside the Campus.

Junior Fellowship

  • A launchpad for bright minds to go through 6 months of internship at New York with a stipend of USD30,000.  Fellowship will be decided by a panel of Global team.
  • Opportunity to be part of Annual International forum to be held either in Japan or Singapore. Selection panel will comprise EMURGO Academy India and College Management.

Infrastructure and Support Required

  • Space for incubation centre. Size depends on the number of students enrolling.
  • Facility for students to work on with necessary power back-up and high-speed internet
  • Video conferencing facility for international classes with a projector.
  • All students are expected to carry their Laptops with specifications recommended by EMURGO
  • One faculty member to be appointed as the SPOC from the institution.
  • Since this involves international participation, provisions to be made to have a late night/early morning training sessions in the incubation centre.

The first 25 hours of the 150 hours course is an introduction to Blockchain technology. Students from all technical streams irrespective of the semester they are in, can enroll for this starter course.
